The “SAL 2022” was an ambitious project I stretched out through all of ‘22, well I tried! I ended up stitching most of it in the last couple of months of the year.
This design intentionally has 52 shapes in total. One for each week of the year if you wish.
But feel free to do whatever you like with the time scale.
The patterns consists of 42 pages and includes the following:
- Printable templates (4, 5, 6, 7, and 8” in sizes, I will not be resizing the template upon requests, sorry)
- There is a double set of templates, placed on A4 pages and US Letter pages all within the same document and clearly labeled in the top left corner
- Full step by step process guide including diagrams, illustrations and photos
- Thread colour guide for DMC thread (not required to use exactly), I used the total of 22 colours
- Recommendations and advice on supplies including links
- Creative suggestions, tips and more
All in all, this pattern is a pride and joy of mine and I hope you enjoy it!

Vika has the most unique patterns. The Summer Stitchalong didnot disappoint. It is easy to transfer and the idea that I can choose the size makes it perfect!
She did include a color pallet but said we could choose our own too.

I'm trying really hard not to fall in love with satin stitch but Vika is making that challenging!
This practice (starter) kit was absolutely perfect. I was skeptical of the small hoop at first but there was nothing wrong with this kit. The smaller hoop was easier to manage and this particular hoop was perfect to ensure that drum sound on the stretched canvas.
Everything in the kit was a beautiful quality, instructions were detailed and easy to understand, and the supplies were phenomenal.
I would stitch this kit 100 times if I could. Highly recommended!

I tried this out as my learner piece, intentionally using a canvas instead of fabric (and because that's what I already had in the scraps bin). I also chose a range of greens since I didn't have a full range of blues on hand. I really enjoyed stitching this! I'm looking forward to doing my next piece.
Haven't started the project yet but was very pleased to see it came with a guide and not just the pattern. Can't wait to get started!
